Give your home a face lift

Let Cube add value to your property.

Rather than suffer all the extra costs of moving, such as agent’s and solicitor’s fees, surveys and stamp duty, CUBE are seeing an increasing number of customers deciding to expand and improve their homes instead of moving. Sarah Beeny, the TV property expert, says it makes sense to extend at a time when stamp duty and house prices are so high.

Records show a big increase in house extensions with tens of thousands of homeowners enlarging their properties. With the relaxed planning laws, the whole process is much easier. The government now allows homeowners to add almost double the amount of space on single storey extensions than they could before withoutseeking planning permission.

Figures from the Nationwide House Price Index show that any work carried out, from renovation to redecorating, will add value to your property and make it much more desirable to prospective buyers. A ten per cent increase in floor space can add five per cent to the price of a typical house, a second or ensuite bathroom remains a favourite among homeowners and putting bedrooms in the loft is one of the most profitable and relatively easy ways of adding value.

With a shortage of properties on the market for sale, people are looking to refit, refurbish and renovate their existing homes. Customers may not just be avoiding the hassle and expense of moving, they are finding it is a sure fire way of boosting the value of their homes.

If you are considering a house extension or refurbishment, CUBE will give you advice on design and planning and offer a complete and personal service with attention to detail, innovative ideas and competitive prices. From design and feasibility advice, planning, the initial quote and the build and completion, CUBE run each project efficiently and professionally ensuring that the budget and design works for each customer.
