Many homes across London, Surrey and Berkshire have undergone our end-to-end services this year. We refurbished, extended, built loft conversions and, in some cases, implemented all of these home improvements at once. Every project is unique and that satisfying ‘post build feeling’ of having achieved a total transformation is always going to be a great motivator for us here at Cube. With 2023 coming to a close, we thought it’d be nice to make the final blog of the year a fun, lighthearted read and so we’re looking at the social media content you enjoyed the most.
Our selection of small but mighty bathrooms made it into your TOP 3. No matter what size, the bathroom is such a pivotal place in our homes. Sometimes even the smallest edition of an en-suite can make a huge difference to our daily lives. Here’s a little reminder to show you what the ‘en-suite euphoria’ this year was all about:
Converting this semi-detached bungalow in Ickenham into a two-storey home meant we could create a space upstairs that accommodates a master bedroom with an en-suite. The addition of the en-suite saves our client the nightly trip downstairs to the downstairs family bathroom. A huge tick for extra convenience and privacy!
Our client’s home in East Horsley, Surrey was already very spacious, however we answered their brief of fully maximising its footprint by building a rear dormer. During the design consultation process, we also figured out that an en-suite shower room would best fit their needs and complement the overall luxurious feel of the loft conversion.
Oh, what a difference a mansard loft conversion can make! This Wandsworth home gives you a good sense for what can be achieved. Light easily finds its way in through the dormer window of the en-suite shower room, making it a bright and welcoming space within the new loft space.
Sometimes a home is literally crying out for significantly more space! A wonderful younger family in Thames Ditton had a little one on the way when they asked us to build a loft conversion as well as extend and refurbish their semi-detached house. It’s a truly stunning home which you can explore in more detail but as we’re celebrating pretty little en-suites here, there’s one clever idea to highlight: their new dormer loft conversion is now home to two well-proportioned rooms, one of which functions as a guest bedroom with an en-suite. Probably the best use of space if you have a young family and parents over to help out or regularly host guests, allowing them to enjoy a private space.
Nothing but light and delight in Hampton Hill which is probably part of the reason why this extension project came second in the Top 3. This home now offers everything a demanding potential buyer could ask for: plenty of adjoining flexible space with underfloor heating throughout, a separate pantry and utility room, as well as gorgeous views all around.
